We started the journey late 2025 regarding our home renovations and after seeing so many instances where people got burnt, I was very hesitant about this whole process and whether or not we even wanted to go down this road.
Following my research, I came across Sean and Second Nature Builders. From the beginning the communication was transparent with Sean putting all our concerns at ease. The fact that Second Nature Builders had their own crew coupled with other trades that worked closely with them ensured our project went smoothly.
Come July 2026 (6 months after work began) we have now had all the work completed. We couldn't be happier with the quality and professionalism show by Sean's foreman Ryan, as well as his colleagues Kai and Callum. Their chosen trades were equally as professional and a pleasure to deal with.
To anyone looking for renovations, I would highly recommend Sean and his team.

We thank the previous reviewers, who gave us the confidence to engage Second Nature Builders.

We have a 65 year old brick veneer house showing signs of age. Sean identified underlying issues and clever, lasting solutions rather than superficial or expensive fixes.

Sean's focus on my needs and his understanding removed the fear of contract fine print and allowed adjustment of scope and detail as the work progressed.

His team of local workers are truly impressive; thorough, polite, multi-skilled and efficient. The end result looks like it has been there forever.

We can't believe we put up with the house's issues for so long, when a team who can manage a relatively small, but very varied job like this could address everything so efficiently and affordably.

We thoroughly recommend Sean and his team to good customers who appreciate quality work.
Thank you!

Google reviews are important to businesses and we are not people who do reviews regularly and certainly not 5 star reviews. We selected Second Nature Builders based on their reviews and they have not disappointed in any way. From the moment we met with the owner of the business, Sean Rogers, we knew we were dealing with a knowledgeable professional. We could not be happier with the work they have done for us. All of Second Nature Builders staff are caring, communicate well and a delight to have in your home. Our neighbour even commented to us on how well mannered the young builders were when he walked past with his dogs. The building work is first rate and we cannot fault the communication with us along the way.

We would definitely recommend Sean and his team. From start to finish they were all a pleasure to deal with. One of the reasons we chose Sean was because of the way he assured us his builders and trades would respect our house, our family and our neighbours during the build and this was not just a 'selling tactic'. The Foreman Ryan and his team of Khye and Callum were so nice to deal with everyday. They respected the space they were working in and also my family, often having chats with our kids and always acting appropriately. Nothing was too much for them to do and was always met with a friendly 'sure we can do that for you', even when we played car Tetris most mornings so we could get our cars out to take the kids to school.

As with any renovation, there are always unexpected issues which were out of their control, however this only happened once and the way they were able to pivot and change things around to keep on schedule was amazing and even still finished on time. The quality of work is exceptional and we are so pleased with the way our new spaces have come to life. Sean and Ryan kept us updated the whole time even in the planning stage Sean was instrumental in ensuring we knew all possible costs and expenses and didn't throw in any unexpected costs thought-out the build. Communication is key in a build like this with so many moving parts and they are on top of this the whole way.
Thanks once again to Sean and Ryan and his team, you guys rock and we can't wait to work with you again in future renovations down the track.

We had an excellent experience with Second Nature Builders from start to finish. We had the interior of our house renovated. Sean was incredibly supportive and took the time to sit down with us, talk everything through, and genuinely listen to what we wanted.

The on-site team (Ryan & Khye) were respectful and understanding of us living in the home during the renovation, which made the process far less stressful. They handled everything with professionalism, care, and exceptional skill. Their workmanship was excellent, and it was clear they took pride in working hard and delivering quality results.

They communicated clearly and consistently throughout the project and managed all of the other trades efficiently, keeping everything running smoothly. The renovation ran to schedule even after some additional variations. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome and would highly recommend them.

We just had a wonderful experience with Sean and his team rebuilding our rotten sleepout into a beautiful and usable office and mudroom and replacing our stairs. Sean is very professional and went above and beyond what I expected, such as introducing us to the trades as they attended site. The initial quote was very detailed and reasonable and they were flexible enough to make variations along the way - all with consultation. We received weekly emails with the upcoming schedule so we knew what was likely to happen and when. Ryan and Khye were lovely and have done a quality job. Would highly recommend Sean and the team if you need some building work done.
